Kelly's Story:

I'm Kelly Berthold, LCSW, a social-emotional science educator and coach, and founder of MindCast. I created Know Your FundaMENTALs to help professional women and moms turn overwhelming wellness information into practical, science-backed tools to thrive in life, relationships, parenting, and career.

 

I’ve always asked: Where can I find the science and skills to understand my human experience and make the most of my life? After years of experience and research, I realized no single roadmap existed to connect the dots across fields, science, and evidence-based interventions — so I created one.

​Outside of MindCast, I work at Pennsylvania State University as a senior staff mental health counselor at the Penn State Psychological Clinic, a clinical supervisor and trainer for doctoral students in clinical psychology, and an adjunct psychology instructor. Working across clinical care, training, and teaching keeps me current on the research and in touch with what actually helps real people.

With advanced training from internationally renown institutions like Harvard Medical School, the University of Massachusetts, Pennsylvania State University, and the University of Pittsburgh's School of Social Work, my work is informed by state-of-the-art insights from mindfulness, trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral approaches, human development and attachment, integrative medicine, neurobiology, neuroscience, organizational learning, and the science of human flourishing to deliver a clear, step-by-step foundation for lasting change.
